Fun weekend...

Harold's parents came for a visit this weekend and although the three days went too fast, we had lots of fun. Theresa (Harold's mom) could not believe how much I had grown since Christmas...Needless to say, she was super excited to see her little grandbaby getting bigger. Friday night we just hung out and ate BLT's. I am LOVING some bacon right now! Saturday, Harold and his dad put boards down in the attic to make lots more storage space and Theresa and I went shopping and had a great lunch out. We spent most of the morning looking at chairs/gliders that might work for the nursery and then heading to mall where she found a sweet little dress that she wanted for Georgia. I agreed that it was too sweet to pass up...

Saturday night our Sunday School class had it's 2nd Annual Chili Cookoff...Harold, Sr. (Harold's dad) entered but unfortunately didn't win but sure made some good chili. They stayed and joined us for church this morning and headed back to Gainesville after lunch. It was a great visit and I'm sure they will be making the trip lots more in the coming months!
I am so thankful for such loving and giving parents & inlaws. My parents and Harold's parents are such a blessing to our family and Georgia is indeed a lucky girl to have such sweet grandma's & grandpa's. We love you all so much and can't wait to share our little girl with you :) Thanks again for loving all three of us so much!!!!

the midnight train OF georgia...

For the past several nights I have been awaken by Georgia. It usually occurs sometime after midnight. At first I thought it was a coincidence that she was kicking when I got up but now I know better. Her kicking is waking me up because it's a pattern. Seems she enjoys 'taebo' after midnight. When I say that she is full force kicking, I mean full force. The doctor said that Harold wouldn't be able to feel her until 24-25 weeks. Ummmm...not so much. He has already coined her as having 'scholarship legs'. Meaning that one day, for sure she'll be able to go to college on those kicks. Too funny!

Also, something quite funny happened this afternoon. I was sitting in the chair doing some work and she started really moving. Probably because I had eaten a whole pack of Hot Tamale candies, but anyway she was going at it. So I pulled my shirt up and I could see her kicking!!!! It was so amazing. So I started talking to her and kind of pushing in where she was kicking and she started kicking even more right there in that spot....like she knew I was talking to her and she was 'talking' back. We went back and forth for a good 5 minutes. It was the best. I will never forget that experience.

So anyway, we got an active little girl on our hands. Good yes...Super. However, I am still hopeful that she likes naps too. Otherwise, Harold and I are in for an even bigger surprise :)

22 Weeks & A Surprise

Tomorrow, I will be 22 weeks. Still feeling great. It's getting a little hard to get comfortable sleeping but as most of you know, as soon as I'm out...I'm out! I sure hope Georgia has the same sleep patterns as me. So here's the progress:
And speaking of baby...Harold felt her kick for the first time today. She's been EXTREMELY active the past couple of days and today he felt her. Last week at church she was moving the whole time...I thought it was the music, maybe even the preaching, whatever the case, it was sweet. But once again at church today, she started right back up when the music did so I'm convinced that she is having her own 'service' in utero. Of all the things I pray for each day, my request is that God would call her to Himself and she would find her salvation in Christ. Maybe all that commotion in there is a good sign, huh :) Sunday is our favorite day too, baby girl.

HEALTH UPDATE

All is well. The cardiologist and neurologist have both given me a clean bill of health. The fainting spell was most likely due to a combination of stress and lack of sleep. Thanks for your prayers!

Soon to be Nursery...

Well, I've got the fabric picked out and ordered for the nursery. My mom is going to sew most of the bedding and my sweet friend Haley is going to help with the painting & other decor. We are clearing out the guest room now and moving it into what is now my office. We bought a smaller desk and will keep the computer up in the guest bedroom but everything else has to go. So here's the before picture of Georgia's soon to be room:
I would post pictures of the fabric but I want to surprise you :) Her room is sure to be quite the hangout. I keep telling her that she might just have to room with her daddy and let me live in her room. As we make progress, I'll post more. We should have everything cleared out by next week and start with the painting. Wish us luck:)
