summer break - week 2

been having fun this week.  despite a case of walking pneumonia and a projectile vomit episode we've had lots of fun.  crazy how somethings seems to all come at once huh.  anyway, here's the highlights of this week.  and speaking of...i'm going to try and recap each week of our summer this summer.  sometimes the summer seems to fly by so quick and fall is here and we're left wondering how in the world it got by so quickly.  hopefully this summer we'll have lots of stories and pictures to remember...

the other day i decided that georgia and i would do some special things in preparation for harold coming home from work that day.  no special occasion just wanted to do something sweet for our man.  so i told her that we were going to clean the house and then we would take a shower...fix our hair...put some some makeup {even her}...pick out a dress...spray some perfume on and wait to welcome our man home that day.  let me just say...if you have little girls...DO THIS!  it was precious.  she was so excited and so proud and so full of joy waiting for him to arrive.  when it was time to pick out dresses she wanted me to wear the one i "got married with".  then she asked if she could marry me.  *melt*.  anyway, when harold came to the door she ran up to him and said "i have on a beautiful dress for you".  then he melted.  it was a very simple way to make him feel loved and appreciated.  so here we are in dresses and makeup and headbands {which georgia said was a must}...

 

no need to explain here.  it's showtime at the goss house. and that usually means that no audience is needed either...

 

tuesday we had a pizza and popcicle party to celebrate the beginning of summer.  i didn't factor popcicle juice into the process when i dressed her that morning which meant naked popcicle eating for g marie...

summer break - day 2

we went to play with sarah avery today and after lunch we headed to the depot so the girls could play in the water.  there was another little girl there with her bathing suit on and georgia kept asking to put hers on.  we hadn't planned on having them actually getting wet so i didn't bring it.  silly me i guess.  after i few minutes i realized that jojo had taken care of it herself by hiking her shorts up in her fanny making herself a bathing suit bottom thong.  seriously, how funny is this...

 
lesson #1 next week when we quit goofing off will be in modesty. 

summer break - day 1

 
so what did we we do today on our first day of summer?  make fake mustaches and take pictures. {and stay in our pajamas.  and not make the bed.  and not comb our hair. }

let's hope the summer gets a little more productive ;)

i can't believe how much she's changed in these past 9 months.  i could go on and on but really all i can say is wow.  times flies. 

how 'bout this...

i've got a few hundred pics on my camera that i am just now getting around to download.  instead of several different posts this is going to be the longest post ever.  i'm giving myself 45 minutes to get you and this blog caught up.  here we go...

first up...Easter Sunday.  my favorite time.  no chocolate.  no bunnies.  no eggs for us.  just the miracle and amazement of celebrating an empty tomb and risen Savior.  that is and will always be enough....

next up....the royal wedding.  my friend heather invited us over early that morning to watch and have a royal morning with our girls...

next...summertime.  seriously grilling out with family and friends and even just the 3 of us is by far my favorite thing to do. i love that my house gets wrecked from people in and out.  i love the sticky feeling inside from the back door being open all night.  i love the smells...the sounds...the tastes...and the good times all this brings...
