4 days, 3 states and 1 special holiday...

What a wonderful week it's been. We got to visit with both sets of family. From Alabama, through Georgia and on to South Carolina, we were a traveling bunch. 12 hours in the car in 4 days. phew. But lots of good times and even more memories. So in no particular order, here's a glipse of the last days...

Georgia has become quite the kisser lately. And what I love is that she pulls you in as tight as she can, opens wide and lays it on you in sheer delight. Here's the proof, 3 times over...

Good stuff, huh. Grandma thinks so too.

And she is sitting up like a pro now. She runs into some balance problems when she gets excited and starts reaching for things, but that's what protective cousins are for :)

And drool seems to be a wardrobe staple these days.

Georgia got to meet my aunt Dot (or 'Honey' as she is called) over the break. She has always been so sweet to me and loved me in a special way so I couldn't wait for her to meet my little girl. Cancer may take her life, but it won't take her legacy.

Hope all of you had a Happy Thanksgiving. We are in full decoration mode this week for Christmas. Lots of fun stuff to come...

And lastly...Georgia watched with us in disbelief as the Tigers went scoreless against the Tide.

Well, War Eagle anyway. It's STILL great to be an Auburn Tiger!!!

finally...

georgia is starting to feel better. she's had a cold for 10 days now and i think she is finally starting to shake it off. we've been at home all week together and i have really enjoyed the extra time we've gotten to spend together. cold and all.

And last night was a big night. She moved to the 'infant' side of her bathtub. One side says 'newborn' and kinda reclines a bit, but the 'infant' side sits up, you see. Which my little girl is fully capable of handling. So here's to a whole new bath experience for my chica.

And today, well, another big day. We set out for Georgia's first look at Santa (and hopefully a photo) so we dressed and headed out when I realized that my baby would need some shoes on. I prefer her to be barefoot-ed (i know that's not good english, harold) but it was much to cold for bare feet today, so what better with a smocked bishop than aqua ugg boots.
And to our dismay, the line for Santa was much too long so we'll try another day. She sure did enjoy all the decorations though. As did we. What a special time of year. It's cold outside sure nuff, but mighty warm inside our four walls.

Have a good weekend. Love from Bham...

"Wonderful, Glorious, Holy and RighteousVictorious,

"Wonderful, Glorious, Holy and Righteous
Victorious, Conqueror, Triumphant and Mighty
Healer, Deliver, Shield and Defense
Strong Tower and My Best Friend
Omnipotent, Omnipresent, Soon Coming King
Alpha, Omega, Lord of Everything

Holy, Holy, Holy is Your Name....."

when i listened to this song this morning the tears came down and my hands went up. he is worthy of our praise. our voice. our worship. our children. our marriage. our life. they are his praise. his voice. his worship. his children. his life. and even though the rain is falling and clouds over the sky, because of his love, i can see the Son. and boy is it bright.

Weekend Pics

this is my new favorite picture. look closely and you'll see that one curl sitting atop that pretty head. and somebody is starting to sit up...she can do it propped up for a while and a few seconds on her own.
oh and she also has discovered her feet (which she has become obsessed with)
and if i may brag a bit...i made this dress for her this weekend. it took a white tshirt, a 1/4 yard of fabric and some ric-rac. i paid 3.50 for the tshirt at walmart and even less for the fabric! anyway, i cut the tshirt in half...put a loose stitch in the fabric to ruffle the top, then matched them up inside out and sewed them together. the whole thing took less than an hour. i'm going to monogram or applique something on the tshirt part to complete it and then start on another one. well actually, i need to address the massive pile of laundry you see here on the bed behind her and then i'll start another one;)

ya'll have a good week. love from bham.

i am so glad the

i am so glad the camera was handy this afternoon for snack time...
first she has some diluted juice. dr's orders to keep her 'regular'. she has issues in that department poor thing ;) i obviously wasn't going fast enough so she took it upon herself to grab the bottle and do it without my help. anyway...after her bottle we moved on to some carrots...
which she loves!!! i could not get them in her mouth quick enough either and as soon as she would slurp them down, this was the response i got...SO...
i just handed her the spoon and let her have at it. to my surprise she knew exactly what to do. nevermind that it made a COMPLETE mess. she had fun and i enjoyed watching her gain a little independence. thank goodness for wood floors!!!

Super Tuesday...

Hello, Hello...Been M.I.A. lately. Sorry about that. Hope all is well. Lots going on in the Goss household. First of all, GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!! All three of us went to vote today. Georgia has another 17.5 years to use her political voice, but you have to start them early right? What a privilege we have in this country to vote for our leaders. AND more importantly what a responsibility we have as believers to support, respect and pray for them. No matter which side of the aisle they come from.
Last weekend we bought her an exersaucer (sp?) and she loves it! Her little feet barely reach the bottom and we have to stuff something behind her to stabilize her, but it provides much entertainment for the little one.
And we have reached the stage where EVERYTHING goes into her mouth. Her hands, my hands, toys, you name it...I was concerned about germs at first and then decided that it is pointless...Oh well. She'll be alright.
Her palate seems to prefer the sweeter things in life. Shocking ;) She's now had green peas (hated), squash (not her favorite), sweet potatoes (okay) and all the fruits...apples, pears, bananas, prunes, peaches. She loves them all. Good eater I tell ya. Well...good at eating the sweet stuff. Gotta work on that.
On a completely other note...you'll never guess my luck. I don't win stuff usually. I have never been the '10th caller'. But a few weeks ago I voted for the product below to win on Ideablob.com and the company emailed me today to say that they had a random drawing for the 'Memory Quilt' and I won it! They are even going to sew it for me! This quilt is such a special way to use some of the clothes Georgia has worn as a newborn. Basically you just use the template provided to cut squares of fabric from the items you'd like to use...then alternate them with a solid fabric they provide and sew it together to make a quilt as shown with all your babies clothes (or whatever you choose). The kits comes with all the safety pins, backing & directions OR an addressed envelope to send all the pieces to them for completion. I can't wait to get the kit and send all the pieces for our quilt. I'll post pics as soon as it's done.
All you new moms & moms to be, this is such a perfect way to keep those sweet newborn memories somewhere besides a tupperware container in the attic! Here's the website if you're interested:
